State level training cum conference on National Sample Survey begins
- The two day State level training cum conference on National Sample Survey (NSS) 78th round organized by department of Economic and Statistics department begin here today, to train the field staff about the concepts, definitions, survey design and procedures.
- The NSS 78th round will cover the subject of “Domestic Tourism Expenditure” and “Multiple Indicator Survey”.
- The training programme was inaugurated by Economic Advisor Dr. Vinod Kumar Rana.
- He said that the main objective of the survey on “Domestic Tourism Expenditure” is to collect the detail information on tourism expenditure along with some information on household characteristics related to domestic overnight and same day trips. This information will be used to prepare the third Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India.
